Worthing United boss Ian Browne is not getting carried away by his table-topping side's start to the season.

A 5-0 win at home to Haywards Heath on Saturday kept United top on goal difference from Midhurst and Easebourne.

Adam Westwood scored twice with Tom Gomez, Lee Weston and Steve Pickles also finding the net.

Browne said: "I know we are top of the league but I'm not bothered. We have played a lot of home games and we haven't played a lot of the top sides so it could be a false position.

"But we have some good players and we have got the points on the board.

"The floodlights are going up soon. The club is in a very good position and the best position for a long time.

"My aim is to finish as high in the league as possible and the players I have got are County League division one players."
