Steve Bullimore had to settle for second place overall in the BEMSEE Nationwide Supertwins championship despite a brave attempt to snatch the title.
The Haywards Heath racer had led the championship for most of the season before breaking a collarbone in practice at Brands Hatch last month.
Missing that meeting meant he failed to score at Brands but he was back in action at Snetterton in the final round of the series just three weeks after the injury.
Amazingly, Bullimore won the first race before finishing fourth in the second but Brian Giles was third in both races which was enough to give him the title.
Crowborough's Simon Nicholls finished sixth in the Supersport 400 class and third in the Clubman 400 class.
At Snetterton, he was fifth and third in the two Supersport races while finishing second in the Clubman event.
Nicholls has now sold his bike and is looking for a sponsor to help him buy a new bike to compete at Supersport 600 level next year.
Brighton's Ryan Harris regained the lead in the King of Clubs Supertwins series going into the final meeting of the season at Brands Hatch this weekend.
Harris claimed two race victories at Snetterton to move eight points clear of title rival Chris Firmin.
Portslade's Andrew Ballard goes into the weekend leading both the Supersport 400 and Clubman 400 series.
Kenny Everest endured a frustrating time in the GSX-R Cup Final races at Magny Cours.
Brighton rider Everest was among 28 Suzuki GSX-R riders from 15 countries who had qualified to take part in the GSX-R Cup Final.
He had clinched one of three British rides following his performances in domestic competitions.
Everest improved his times throughout practice and qualifying and was 25th on the grid for the first of last Sunday's two races.
Unfortunately, he suffered concussion from an incident in the first race and was unable to take part in the second.
Sam Corke scored an impressive hat-trick of victories at the penultimate MRO Championship meeting of the season.
Corke, from Uckfield, won both Powerbike races at Lydden Hill and also claimed victory in the Lord of Lydden race which completed the weekend's racing.
Everest finished sixth, fifth and fourth in the three races. Andy Denyer (Uckfield) was seventh, sixth and ninth while Luke Palmer (Plumpton Green) was 13th in all three races.
Going into the final meeting of the season at Brands Hatch this weekend, Corke was fourth in the Powerbike series and Everest fifth.
