The growing demand for a referendum on the proposed EU constitution is meeting fierce resistance from the Government which is attempting to sign away the rights of the British people without their consent.

The Freedom Association has been campaigning for a referendum since December when the first details began to emerge of the various powers which will be handed over to unelected people in Brussels.

We have already succeeded in highlighting the threats to our political freedom and the ability to govern ourselves.

We are now targeting individual MPs who we believe can be persuaded to support a referendum.

We urge all readers to join our campaign and to write to their local MP demanding the right to vote on this major constitutional change.
