Dilette Gilkes comes into the East Grinstead squad for this weekend's double helping of league and cup action.

The Trinidad and Tobago international makes his debut for the leaders in Saturday's National League division two game at home to Bath Buccaneers.

He is also likely to feature in Sunday's EHA Cup third round trip to Barnes.

Gilkes is the third Trinidad and Tobago international to join Grinstead, teaming up with player-coach Kwan Browne and Dwain Quanchan.

He was due to sign in the summer but his arrival was held up by red tape. He was been training with Grinstead for the last fortnight.

Browne said: "Dilette will add something extra to the attacking force we already have here.

"We are really looking forward to the weekend. We should come up with a win on Sunday which would take us into the last 32 of the cup."

Lewes visit Leek in the league before making the trip to face Broxbourne in the cup on Sunday.

Player-coach Renwick Irvine continues to be sidelined with a rib injury while Adrian Bettesworth is ruled out with ankle ligament damage. Broxbourne include two ex-Lewes players in Nick Hill and Julian Cogdell.

Chichester have lost three players for tomorrow's match at home to Richmond in South Premier division two Top scorer Neil Pendle has been ruled out for up to five weeks as he is about to undergo a knee operation while goalkeeper Steve Jones is also missing due to a back problem. Dave Foster, who scored in the defeat against Purley Walcountians last week, is unavailable.

John Gotham comes in for Jones while Mark Green is promoted from the seconds.

In the Kent/Sussex Regional League, Worthing's credentials will be put to the test by visiting Maidstone as second meets third.

Joint skipper Mark Duncan said: "Since our expectations have been raised this is our first real test. I rate Maidstone. They play simple hockey very well."
