Albion goal ace Leon Knight is confident there will be no repeat of his Sheffield Wednesday nightmare with Mark McGhee in charge of the Seagulls.
Knight's loan spell at Hillsborough from Chelsea last season started well, but the move turned sour once Chris Turner replaced Terry Yorath as manager.
The 11-goal hitman cannot see history coming back to haunt him now that McGhee has succeeded Steve Coppell, especially as the new boss was a centre forward himself.
"I am really looking forward to it," Knight said. "He was a striker and he wants to see us creating chances and scoring goals.
"My initial reaction was that it was a good choice. He's got a great background. He's got clubs promoted and I don't know why he was sacked from Millwall because they weren't off the pace at all.
"We are glad to have him here. You can tell he is strong. He has got the mentality of a winner and that is what the boys here want to be."
McGhee had his first training session with the players on Thursday in preparation for Saturday's trip to Barry Fry's Peterborough.
Knight said. "He is the kind of manager we need. He wants to attack and get goals and goals win games, so I think the combination will work well.
"He has already given me and Chris McPhee a few tips. Hopefully as time goes on he can make us into better players. He told us not to be scared of losing by trying to win a game, which I like. We are looking to take the game to Peterborough.
"Before he came we have been playing well at home and not so well away, because we changed our style of play. He just said he wants to play away like we play at home, so I think that will bring us more success."
McGhee was pleased with the players' response. "They trained with a smile on their faces," he said.
"There was no anxiety or fear. There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm and that gives you something to work with."
Robbie Pethick, available again after a two-match ban, is added to the Albion squad.
Simon Rea replaces the suspended Sagi Burton for Posh and Fry is also expected to recall Dave Farrell at the expense of the on-loan Richard Logan.
McGhee said: "They are unpredictable and on their day they can hurt you. The best thing we can do is go there expecting them to be at their best."
