Sussex fast bowler James Kirtley gets a chance to press his England claims when he plays in Wednesday's warm-up match ahead of the one-day series against Bangladesh.
Kirtley was named in the team to face a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI in Dhaka, two days before the first of three one-day internationals in Chittagong.
All-rounder Andrew Flintoff will captain England for the first time in the tourists' only warm-up match.
Flintoff leads the side in the absence of captain Michael Vaughan and Marcus Trescothick who are both rested.
All seven newcomers to the tour make their first appearance.
Somerset seamer Richard Johnson and Surrey all-rounder Rikki Clarke were both overlooked because they are still suffering from a viral infection contracted during last week's second-Test win over Bangladesh in Chittagong.
Middlesex opener Andrew Strauss makes his first England appearance while Lancashire's fit-again James Anderson will share the new ball with Kirtley.
England: Andy Strauss (Middlesex), Vikram Solanki (Worcestershire), Paul Collingwood (Durham), Anthony McGrath (Yorkshire), Andrew Flintoff (capt, Lancashire), Ian Blackwell (Somerset), Chris Read (wkt, Nottinghamshire), Gareth Batty (Worcestershire), Ashley Giles (Warwickshire), James Kirtley (Sussex), James Anderson (Lancashire).
