So, speed cameras are to be installed along a stretch of the A259 coast road leading into Shoreham, somewhere between Travis-Perkins and B&Q.
This stretch of road is arguably the widest and best lit in town and almost dead straight.
It is not residential, has no shops or schools and after B&Q closes at 8pm, is totally deserted.
During the daytime, only a very experienced biker could achieve speeds anything like the speed limit by weaving through the continuous stream of delivery trucks that drive in and out of this industrial part of town all day.
Can we assume then that these speed cameras will only be switched on between noon and 4am?
