Hastings United's poor run in the league continued at Fleet when they slumped to give the Hampshire side their first home win of the season.
The home goal was under heavy pressure for the opening quarter of an hour but once Ian Saunders opened the scoring on 18 minutes there was only going to be one winner.
United's defence was hard pressed and they conceded a second on 28 minutes when Shea Saunders walked through and rounded keeper Will Toal before tucking the ball home.
Hastings had more of the game in the second half but home keeper Calvin Sparshatt was not troubled until the 81st minute when he did well to deal with Stuart Myall's free kick.
Fleet had made the game safe before then though when Craig Leworthy ran through a static defence to slot home.
