The horrific car crash which killed Shoreham nursery nurse Flo McCabe has claimed another life.
Victoria Browne, who lost both legs in the collision, died last night - exactly a month after the accident - in the intensive care unit at St George's Hospital, London.
Miss Browne, 19 and from Brighton, was a passenger in a Ford Mondeo which crashed in Portland Road, Hove, on October 12. Ms McCabe, 21, died at the scene.
A third nursery nurse, Rebecca Fish, from Hove, lost one leg and suffered a shoulder injury. She is at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The three friends were all on their way home from a night out when the crash happened at 11pm.
Miss Browne's family and friends had been praying for her recovery and hospital staff dedicated weeks of effort to save her. All were said to be devastated.
Inspector Simon Labett, head of the road policing unit at Hove, said: "It is very sad news and our thoughts are with Vickie's relatives and friends."
A 21-year-old barman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
