Adam Phillips completes the lightning ascent from Sussex Two to National League when he makes his first start for Haywards Heath tomorrow.
Phillips, who was playing for Old Brightonians until recently, has been named on the left wing as Heath host Westcombe Park in division three south.
His promotion from the bench allows Huw Griffin to switch to full back in place of Andy Cook, who has a broken nose.
Heath also give New Zealander James Mackie a chance to shine at outside half after some decent displays for the second team.
Damien Lyall wears his favoured No. 6, with his second row berth taken by Rick Ure.
Phillips scored a scintillating long-range try at Redruth last week.
Skipper Alex Meredith said: "He has got good pace and has shown what he can do.
"We're expecting a tough game. They beat Blackheath last week and they have got a very good ten, who basically won that match for them."
Powergen Intermediate Cup holders Hertford head to Worthing for a third round tie.
Worthing coach Ian Davies takes the chance to make changes with Roly Killeen getting his debut in the centre, several months after earning his first Sussex cap.
Ben Coulson has been told he will out for four months with his broken arm.
Ben Dudley gets first crack at No. 15 while John Firkin takes over goalkicking duties.
Grant Gatford switches from back row to hooker, a position he hopes to make his own.
Daniel Roberts returns in the second row.
Davies said: "Hertford are bringing their full strength side down and will fancy another taste of playing at Twickenham."
