We were surprised to read that Karis will work with the Civic Trust to improve awareness of conservation issues (The Argus, November 7).
This is the developer who wanted to turn North Laine into San Geminiano with multiple towers.
This is the developer who still wants to build a 16-storey tower of yet more luxury flats next to the Preston Park conservation area and the listed viaduct, where his previous application for the site was reduced from eight storeys to six.
Karis will work with the trust "to improve community consultation and awareness".
Yet this is the developer who sent out notices to residents about the public meeting on the Endeavour site just a day before the meeting took place.
It is a pity the trust did not consider involving its member societies, of which we are one, in discussions on conservation and community consultation.
We have more that 30 years' experience in these matters.
