Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a Sussex businessman.
The 34-year-old suspect, from the Leyton area of London, was detained yesterday at 5pm in a joint operation by Metropolitan and Sussex Police.
He was being questioned at Hastings police station today in connection with the murder of Kenneth Harvey, an importer and exporter, on August 18.
Mr Harvey was blasted at point-blank range as he sat in his silver Mercedes at a crossroads in Cripp's Corner, Battle.
The victim, who lived with his family in The Hawthornes in Broad Oak, Hastings, suffered two bullet wounds to the head.
Mr Harvey, 45, was facing charges of being involved with others in importing £750,000 worth of cocaine.
He died three days after the shooting.
Officers today were also searching a number of addresses in East London and Hastings.
