Brighton band British Sea Power had to cancel a concert after their bass player fell out of a tree.
They had been due to play in Buckinghamshire tonight.
The group like to decorate their stages with foliage and bassist Hamilton climbed a copper beech to prune some branches ahead of their show.
A spokesman said: "In Keystone Cops style he sawed through the branch he was hanging on to.
"The fall resulted in a badly sprained wrist which made playing the show at High Wycombe's Buckinghamshire Chilterns Student Union impossible."
The band hope Hamilton will be fit for their prestigious slot supporting The Strokes next month.
