Poilce have been granted an extension to question a man over the killing of a Sussex businessman.
Officers were last night continuing to quiz a 34-year-old man from the Leyton area of London over the murder of Dale "Ken" Harvey, who was shot three times as he sat in his silver Mercedes at a crossroads in Cripps Corner, near Battle, on August 18.
The suspect, the third man to be arrested in relation to the killing, was being held at Hastings police station after he was brought down from London following a joint operation between the Sussex and Metropolitan forces.
Detectives have a further 36 hours to question the man after receiving permission from magistrates.
If they want to keep him in again overnight they will have to return to the court this evening.
Mr Harvey, 44, was blasted at point-blank range when two people drew up alongside him on a green Kawasaki motorbike.
Despite undergoing an emergency operation at the Conquest Hospital, Hastings, Mr Harvey lost his fight for life after two days.
