A new forum for young designers will stimulate creative talent and provide sleek affordable products for shoppers.
It has been launched by designer Cathy Norcott who took a huge risk a year ago when she sold her flat in Upper Rock Gardens and sunk all her savings and assets into the project.
Her aim is to offer consumers everything from designer furniture to ceramics at High Street prices bringing together the talents of up-and-coming designers.
On Saturday, after months of hard work and much trepidation, her vision is to become a reality.
Cathy, who studied wood and metal design at Brighton University, will open the doors to Sneek, her new boutique in St James's Street, Kemp Town, Brighton.
The 30-year-old, who lives in Brighton with her partner, Jason, a development manager at Gatwick, said: "Often you walk into a shop and see really beautiful things but know you could never buy them.
"I always thought it would be nice to go somewhere where everything's beautiful but there are normal prices too.
"I've got a couple who make wonderful hand-made vases but have managed to keep them very affordable."
There is oak furniture for £1,000, stocking fillers for under £5 and hand-made cards.
Among the pieces are Cathy's own multi-functional cubes.
She said: "When I graduated I didn't have a workshop or very many tools so I had to do the best I could with limited resources.
"The cubes were a way I could work with small pieces and play around with little ideas without much equipment.
"Now I've got a workshop and bigger clamps I can start doing different things."
The cubes can be used as storage boxes, tables, lights, magazine or record racks and stools.
Cathy, who graduated in July last year, said Sneek would become a forum for other young designers to generate creative ideas.
Many of the ranges were launched at a design showcase this year, including ceramics by Multi, Twinkem and Anthony Quinn, stylish wallpaper from Jocelyn Warner, and Bodo Sperlein's hand-made and hand-painted ceramics.
Among the designers is Brighton ceramicist Gordon Murdoch who was on the same course as Cathy.
Others she met at trade fairs.
Sneek is will be open from 11am to 7pm.
