A man arrested in connection with the contract killing of a businessman has been charged with possessing heroin.
Colin Meek, 33, of Charles Road, St Leonards, was arrested last Monday in Leyton, east London.
He was questioned by Sussex Police investigating the murder of 45-year-old Ken Harvey.
Mr Harvey was shot at the wheel of his silver Mercedes at Cripp's Corner junction, near Battle, on August 18.
The pillion passenger of a green Kawasaki 750 Ninja motorbike fired a number of shots with what is thought to have been a small handgun.
Mr Harvey died in hospital two days later with his family at his side.
The bike, which had a false number plate V1 LON, was recovered near Sedlescombe and has been undergoing forensic examination.
More than 300 motorists were stopped and questioned by police following the incident.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "A man arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of Ken Harvey on August 18 this year has been charged with unlawful possession of heroin.
"Colin Meek has been released from custody and bailed to appear at Hastings Magistrates Court on Thursday."
