Noisy neighbours told to stop motorbike racing on their farmland have lost an appeal against the decision.
Robert Billings, of Rout Farm, Warninglid, near Horsham, was served with an abatement notice by Mid Sussex District Council's environmental health officers in June.
Several complaints were received from nearby residents because of noise from the farm.
An appeal lodged by Mr Billings has been rejected by Haywards Heath magistrates and he was ordered to pay £5,200 costs.
Councillor Julian Calvert, Cabinet member for community development, said: "We are delighted with the result as there is no reason why one person should be allowed to get away with such selfish actions to the detriment of those around them.
"Environmental health officers carry out their work for the benefit of the community."
