Thank you for your article "Traders fined after recycling rubbish" in which you highlighted the fact I had been fined for doing what the council has consistently requested - recycle our waste (The Argus, November 24).
In response to this article, several people who run small businesses from home have asked me if they are also required to have a trade waste contract as they also produce small amounts of paper waste which they recycle in the black box scheme.
I would be interested to hear if any of your readers who run businesses from home have ever received similar warning letters from the council?
If no one has, it would be nice to know what constitutes trade waste and how do they pick who the rules apply to. There must be quite a few people now worried that they may also finish up with a criminal record like mine.
