Three people have been arrested as part of a crackdown on persistent criminals.
Police went to the homes of two men and a woman suspected of being involved in burglaries, violent crime and car thefts.
The three were arrested and are being questioned in connection with a number of offences.
Teams of officers made the early morning calls at addresses in Southwick, Hove and Brighton.
The initiative was part of Operation Resolve to target suspects. It is intended to continue indefinitely.
Inspector Beryl Bacon, based at Hove, said: "This was an early Christmas present for the people of Brighton and Hove.
"By targeting suspects in this way we are helping to reduce crime rates and to make the city a safer place for everyone.
"Our message to offenders is clear.
"We know who you are and if you do not give yourselves up you can expect a police officer at your door very soon."
