What a confused letter from Peter Robinson ("It's my right", November 29).
Political correctness, religious freedom, religious bigotry and freedom of speech all rolled into one confused mess.
We are talking about the historic persecution of Catholics in this country and intolerance and bigotry that should make people ashamed.
Legislation still sits on the statute books which bars Catholics from certain positions in government and the military. Clearly, we are not to be trusted.
Prince Charles talks of being "defender of faiths". How can he defend the Catholic faith when he is barred from marrying one?
I fail to see how not burning an effigy of the Pope on Bonfire Night would affect Mr Robinson's religious freedom.
Why, in the 21st Century, should Catholic parents have to answer their children asking: "Why do they want to burn us?"
Grow up, Mr Robinson. This is not about political correctness, it is about humanity and decency. You clearly appear to lack both.
