Worthing Thunder top scorer Jamal Johnson is facing a shock one-game ban.
Johnson was already resigned to a mandatory seven penalty points after being ejected seconds from the end of a recent win at Sutton Pumas.
Now Thunder have been stunned by news that his penalty has been topped up by a further four points after a disciplinary hearing.
Ten points or more means a one-game suspension.
Coach Gary Smith is also facing a one-game ban after being sent out of the same match.
Both teams were incensed by the handling of the game.
Thunder are also unhappy that Okolie Ugbana's efforts in restraining Roger Lloyd have landed the Worthing forward with seven penalty points.
The club must pay a total of £100 in fines, £50 each for the ejections of Smith and Johnson.
Thunder director Rosemary Dawes said the club's reports and video evidence had been brushed aside.
She added: "We have got seven days to appeal but it costs £500 a time and you know you are not going to win.
"I'm surprised about it all and both clubs are very unhappy with the way this has been handled."
Thunder go to Solent Stars on Saturday night (8pm) looking to repeat the heavy defeat they inflicted when they visited Fleming Park for Trophy action earlier in the season.
