Having read of the awful experiences people have had when going to hospital, let me relate my own.
My husband suffers from a long-term lung disease. When he was taken very ill early one Sunday morning, I had to dial 999.
Within five minutes the paramedics (Rose and Chris) were with me and from then to the time he was admitted to the assessment unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, I was treated with nothing but kindness by every member of staff.
He has now been transferred to Beech Ward at Brighton General. This ward is efficient, scrupulously clean and nothing is too much trouble for the lovely nursing staff.
God bless you all for everything you have done to ease my dear husband's illness.
-Mrs Beryl Chippendale, Brighton
