A bickering couple may hold vital clues to a hit-and-run crash which killed a teenage apprentice engineer from East Sussex.
The couple were seen in Upper Park Road, St Leonards, at about the time Gary Finch, 18, was hit by a Renault 19 at 9pm on Friday November 14.
Mr Finch, of Ninfield Road, Bexhill, died at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings four days later.
His funeral at Hastings Crematorium this week drew hundreds of mourners.
Police have renewed their appeal for help in catching the people inside the Renault, registration J592 GGU.
Inspector Mark Armstrong, the senior investigating officer, said: "We would very much like to hear from these people.
"Neither are suspects but they are known to have been in the road at the time and may have seen a silver or grey car.
"We also urge the driver of the car to come forward and tell us what happened to clear the matter up."
Three people arrested in connection with the incident shortly afterwards are on police bail pending further inquiries.
Anyone with information should call the Senlac road policing department on 0845 6070999.
