Worthing look to have uncovered a vital new weapon as they stayed in the London One promotion picture with a 41-8 win over London Nigerians.
Roly Killen took over the kicking duties due to a number of injuries andshowed he was a more than capable replacement by contributing 12 points.
Coach Ian Davies said: "Roly is only our fourth choice kicker but he will be continuing in the role because he struck the ball very well. It is so important to have a good kicker and it looks like Roly could be a major asset for us."
Ali Coombe opened the scoring on 17 minutes following a powerful run by Ben Cox before good work from Killen put Ben Dudley over. Killen converted both but the visitors grabbed a penalty to make it 14-3 at the break.
Worthing pulled away in the second half with a second try from Coombe plus touch downs for substitute Guy Cooke and Terry Butler. Killen added two penalties and a conversion while there was also a conversion for Mike Imrie before they conceded a late try.
The result keeps Worthing in fifth and Davies believes his side can push on for promotion after Christmas. He said: "If we keep playing well and picking up the points then anything is possible."
