Traffic wardens - most people hate them but I always thought they just had a bad name until last Friday.
Two wardens watched me park my mother's Motability car on a single yellow line in Russell Place and walked past both of us when we checked the disabled badge and clock were displayed correctly.
An hour later, I received a phone call from my father to say we had a £60 parking fine stuck on the windscreen.
Having challenged the fine, apparently the wardens "did not see" my mother's disabled badge.
That's strange considering they stuck the ticket on the windscreen directly over the area where the badge was displayed and saw us checking the clock.
I even took a photo at the time and you can clearly see the badge from the other side of the street. They were obviously more concerned about their Christmas bonus than doing the right thing.
