Leaders Worthing returned to winning ways with a 3-1 defeat of Sussex rivals Horsham in the Kent/Sussex Regional League.

"If we could win that we would be top at Christmas and could say we have done our job for the first half of the season."
Bottom side Mid Sussex went down 6-1 away to Maidstone. Mids started with only eight players and no goalkeeper after a number of players were held up by an accident en route to the game. The consolation came from James Goodwin.
Crawley gained their first point of the season in Kent/Sussex division one with a 2-2 draw at home to Burnt Ash.
Kris Rai and Darren Conway scored from short corners for Crawley, both created by excellent runs by Mark Youings, but they were indebted to an inspirational performance from goalkeeper Gary Thornton.
Coach Daryl Luxford said: "It may have taken us ten games to get our first point but the guys are beginning to perform."
Leaders Eastbourne beat South Saxons 4-0 with goals from Nick Corbett (two), Richard Chilcott and an own goal.
Lee Wiles struck a consolation as Southwick lost 8-1 at second placed Ashford while Stuart Clark scored for Crowborough as they went down 6-1 at home to Old Bordenians.
