A dance act has brought its music out from the underground and is heading for the charts.
Brighton-based trio The Lost Brothers have won over Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules with their re-make of Cry Little Sister, the theme tune to Eighties' cult movie, The Lost Boys.
The DJ plays it on his show every week and the track has been on the station's A list for three weeks.
Radio stations across the country, including Brighton's Juice FM, are also pushing the song, which was released yesterday.
The Lost Brothers, Harry Diamond, 21, Kieran McTernan, 25, and Sergei Hall, 26, have recorded separately for the last five years for underground labels such as Nukleuz, Bonzai, Five AM, Maelstrom, Kaktai and Mayhem. Kieran and Sergei have been working as a pair.
The three have worked together on underground projects but Cry Little Sister is their first commercial release.
The project evolved when Harry found The Lost Boys soundtrack in his car.
He said: "We tried to do something a bit different. There is a big Eighties' revival going on and we are all massive fans.
"Judge Jules loved it straight away. He has been playing it for four and a half months."
The Lost Brothers have been touring the country to promote the track, which their record company believes will make the top 20.
They will be taking on the likes of Madonna, Alicia Keys, Cliff Richard and Christina Aguilera, who also released singles yesterday.
Harry said: "We would love to get on Top Of The Pops but there are a lot of artists releasing on our release day.
"We have had some really good feedback. We are absolutely thrilled. It's a great opportunity."
