Five youngsters aged between 12 and 15 were arrested after police swooped on houses in a series of dawn raids.
The operation on the Towerdene estate in Langney, Eastbourne, was carried out in relation to a number of assaults, criminal damage and antisocial behaviour around the area in the last few months.
Police questioned the five at Eastbourne police station before releasing them on bail while further enquiries are made. They will all have to return to the station on January 24 and 25.
More arrests are anticipated.
Inspector Diane Roskilly, who heads the Neighbourhood Policing Team with responsibility for Langney, said: "There are a small minority of young offenders who are responsible for the majority of antisocial behaviour and disorder which is affecting quality of life for the people living in the Langney area. We will actively target these offenders.
"Local police officers, in conjunction with our partners, have already obtained two antisocial behaviour orders for persons who live on the Towerdene estate."
The operation took place on Saturday.
