Police believe two armed robberies at Mid Sussex petrol stations are linked.
A man made off with cash after pointing a gun at a cashier at the Shell garage in Lewes Road, Scaynes Hill, near Haywards Heath, on December 12.
The robbery, at about 8.40pm, came five days after a similar incident at Woodside Service Station in Copthorne.
During this attack, two men robbed a cashier at gunpoint on December 7 at 6.03pm.
Detective Inspector Andy Griffiths, of Mid Sussex CID, said: "A witness at the Scaynes Hill robbery believes the man with the gun had ginger hair.
"A motorist also came near to colliding with the offender outside the garage.
"I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around this time involving a man fitting this description or the driver of the car in question whom has not yet come forward.
"I believe these robberies are linked. We are working hard to catch the offenders."
