An extra time goal from substitute Matt Seldon saw holders Crawley clinch victory over Havant and Waterlooville at Westleigh Park.
Reserve team player Seldon squeezed in a shot at the far post for his first Crawley goal with his first touch after coming on.
The visitors fell behind on 25 minutes when goalkeeper Andy Little fumbled a 25-yard drive by former Albion player Shaun Wilkinson into the net.
Crawley levelled on 67 minutes following an error by the home goalkeeper.
Paul Armstrong's firmly hit drive bounced out of Gareth Howells' arms and substitute Scott Kirkwood lashed the ball into the roof of the net.
Four minutes later the Reds were ahead when a superb through ball from Charlie MacDonald sent Nigel Brake racing clear to finish smartly.
Within another four minutes the home side dragged themselves level with a close-range Lee Paul free-kick.
Crawley finished with nine men following injuries to Jay Richardson, Brake, Mo Harkin and MacDonald.
