Bognor turned on a five-star premier division display and left boss Jack Pearce speechless.
A brace from David Piper set up the Rocks to thrash Northwood 5-2 at Nyewood Lane.
Unusually, Pearce had little to say afterwards, but that was down to losing his voice as well as the fact he had witnessed some fine football.
Despite dominating the opening stages, it took 31 minutes before Bognor broke the deadlock, but nobody expected what was to follow.
The lead was created by Richard Hudson who sent in a telling cross from the right which was partially cleared, and thundered low back through the crowded penalty box by Piper.
Nine minutes later the Rocks were two up when Hudson received the ball just outside the visitors' box, twisted and turned before driving a shot into the far corner.
Bognor did not have it all their own way and the visitors pulled a goal back in the 44th minute when Mark Nicholls beat Craig Stoner to a ball in the box, which in turn allowed Chris Elsegood a simple tap in to an empty net.
The two-goal advantage was restored within a minute when Jodey Rowland found Matt Russell, whose turn and ball across was side footed into the corner of the net by Tom White.
With five minutes of the second period gone, the visitors showed Bognor they were still up for the fight when Brian Fitzgerald slotted home a low effort.
The two-goal advantage was regained when Hudson played a delightful ball in behind the visiting defence, allowing Michael Birmingham to break the offside trap before rifling home via the legs of Rob Bullivant with 62 minutes gone.
Piper completed his double in the 66th minute when he met and arrowed into the far corner a Hudson ball from the angle of the penalty box.
As the fun continued, Rocks could have had more and the visitors were only denied when Rowland cleared off his own line.
