Flowers today marked the spot where an East Sussex teenager was killed when her car careered off a village road and into a wall.
Blooms paying tribute to 19-year-old Amie Brough have been laid by a steady stream of people grieving her death.
Miss Brough, of Church Street, Ticehurst, died after apparently losing control of her Ford Ka as she drove east on the B2099 at Ticehurst.
She was taken to the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells following the smash last Monday night but died from her injuries.
Police said they had no witnesses to the crash.
Her family declined to comment at their cottage less than two miles from the scene.
Sergeant Kevin Donovan, of the Bexhill Road Policing Department, said they were struggling to determine how the crash happened.
He said: "We are struggling for witnesses. It was a dark and horrible night and not a lot of people were about."
Anyone with information should call the Bexhill Road Policing Department on 0845 6070999.
