A Brighton firm has been awarded a prestigious government grant to develop a vegetarian nutritional supplement that aims to reduce inflammation and stress in animals.
Advanced BioNutrition Europe Ltd, based at The Sussex Innovation Centre in Falmer, has won the Smart Award from the Department of Trade and Industry's Small Business Service (SBS), which aims to encourage innovation.
The company focuses on the provision of high quality natural feeds that improve the health and welfare of animals.
The grant will be used to fund clinical trials of its new product for horses.
