You report that staff and students at the University of Sussex fear "staff cuts or courses being axed" as a result of overspending on a new cabling network at our Falmer campus (The Argus, January 8).
I can categorically reassure all staff and students at the university that the financial implications of the cabling project are minimal in the context of a £100 million annual turnover and no jobs or courses are in danger as a result of the overspend.
