Police are investigating three robberies, the latest in the early hours of today.
A Chinese student was threatened at knifepoint on the beach off Madeira Drive, Brighton, at 2.15am.
Two men grabbed cash and a credit card before fleeing towards Brighton Marina.
At 3.45am on Saturday a 16-year-old black youth was surrounded by four men, also black, at the junction of Grand Avenue and Church Road, Hove.
He was punched to the ground and robbed before the attackers escaped in a dark-coloured Vauxhall Carlton.
The third incident happened between 9.10pm and 9.30pm last Tuesday at Dukes Mound, near Brighton Marina.
The victim was walking down a footpath from Marine Parade to Madeira Drive when two men attacked him and stole property.
Both men were white and in their mid 30s.
Witnesses to any of the attacks were today asked call police on 0845 6070 999.
