Haywards Heath will look to bounce back at home after suffering in the west country on Saturday.

They went down 38-14 at Launceston in National Three South, despite a late try from Henry Goodburn on his return to the side.

Three scores in a decisive second-half spell sent Heath heading to defeat.

They will look to take it out on struggling Basingstoke at Whitemans Green next Saturday.

Skipper Alex Meredith said: "I thought the scoreline flattered them a bit.

"We produced some good play and the forwards worked very hard but we didn't communicate well between the forwards and backs.

"It is always a difficult place to go to and they had a big crowd behind them.

"Now we have to look forward to next week.

"We had a chat on the coach coming home about what we needed to put right."
