A cashier was left traumatised after an armed robber held a shotgun to his chest and neck.
The victim was preparing to close up for the night at Trinity Place Service Station, Trinity Place, Eastbourne, when a man walked in wearing a blue fleece with a hood over his head and his face obscured by a scarf.
Minutes later another man burst into the shop wielding a shotgun and screaming at the cashier, in his 40s, to hand over money from the till, while pointing the gun at his chest.
Police said the robber was not happy with the amount handed over and walked behind the till, this time aiming the gun at the cashier's neck.
He was given more money and took the cashier's wallet, personal organiser and credit cards. Cigarettes were also taken.
Both men, who are believed to have been working together, then fled the shop with about £100 in cash and cigarettes worth £200.
The cashier was unhurt but badly shaken after his ordeal.
Police said the first man was white, in his early 20s, thin, about 5ft 9in and had sandy or ginger-coloured hair.
The gunman was white, with black hair and wore a black, waist-length jacket. He was also about 5ft 9in and in his early to mid 20s.
The raid happened at 7.30pm on Saturday.
