If granted planning permission, the 42 flats in Dyke Road, Hove, would be grossly out of keeping with the surrounding properties. They would also cause a traffic hazard for all those using Dyke Road Avenue.
Totem Architecture is quoted as saying: "Flats are a better use of space than detached homes." What space? Pulling down three fine detached properties! Totem is not interested in retaining the character of this area or concerned about the effect of pollution all these extra cars will have on the neighbourhood.
Its sole interest is to make huge sums of money at the expense of local residents.
