Manager Garry Wilson refused to take the credit for an inspired substitution which earned Eastbourne Borough a point against Merthyr Tydfil.
Wilson brought on Matt Crabb early in the second half and he scored a 30-yard equaliser seven minutes from time with his so-called weaker right foot.
Merthyr had taken the lead after 13 minutes through Cortez Belle who went on to miss a penalty four minutes later after Stuart Playford had elbowed Craig Steins.
Wilson said: "The substitution worked but it wasn't down to me. It was a great goal and the boys did well to come back."
