Haywards Heath have been plunged back into the heart of the National Three South survival scrap.
They went down 29-6 at fellow strugglers Old Patesians on Saturday and have been overhauled by Westcombe Park, who beat Weston-super-Mare.
With Dings Crusaders also winning, Heath are just one point above the bottom three ahead of next Saturday's visit from third-placed North Walsham.
They led 6-3 at the break on Saturday thanks to two Owen Ashton penalties, but finished well beaten as the hosts scored four second-half tries going down the slope.
Lewes boosted their London Three South East promotion hopes with a superb 26-5 home win over Sevenoaks, helped by Matt Sole's first half try hat-trick.
Skipper Dave Hemsley also got over with Neil Rumble kicking three conversions.
Uckfield celebrated their second win of the London Four South East season, hanging on for a tense 14-11 verdict at home to Bromley as Mark Poole struck three penalties. Phil Rowland combined with Nick Ridley for the hosts' try.
Teenage scrum half Craig Burgess came back from injury and ran things tactically as Hastings and Bexhill won 53-0 at Norfolk Arms in Sussex One. Kit Claughton and Tom Brampton led the try-scoring with two apiece and joint-coach Jerry Hohenkerk praised H&B's multi-phase work after the break.
Heathfield's tries in a 17-11 defeat of Crowborough came from Welsh fly-half Bryn Jones (2) and No. 8 Simon Wilson.
