Manager Steve Lovell believes ten-man Hastings United's surprise win at title-chasing Histon can be a turning point in their season.
United had defender Kieran Startup sent off early on and then fell behind on 15 minutes through an Ian Cambridge strike.
But a goal direct from a corner by Steve Ringwood on 35 minutes and an own goal by Richard Skelly on the hour gave Hastings their first win in ten league games.
Lovell said: "I was looking for a reaction from the players after some disappointing results and I got it. I think it can be a springboard for us for the final few months of the season."
