A pub is turning the clock back for fans of the silver screen.
The ABC in East Street, Brighton, was one of Sussex's premier cinemas until it was closed down and turned into the Toad At The Picture House bar two years ago.
Managers Karl and Cheryl Durkin now want to resurrect the golden age of movie-going by starting a weekly film club.
Customers will be able to see the latest blockbusters about a month after their release and before they reach video.
The pub, which has room for 600 people, features a 15ft by 10ft screen and 15 TV monitors.
The films will be shown on all the screens at 6pm on Sundays.
Mr Durkin had the idea after his staff told him of the building's history.
He had to launch the venture as a members' club to remain within the law but it is free to join and there will be no admittance charges.
Customers will be able to sit at tables to watch the films and can use clapperboards to attract the attention of staff selling the traditional popcorn and ice cream.
Mr Durkin said: "The staff couldn't have come up with a better idea considering the bar once served as the city's main cinema.
"Our customers will be able to capture a little of the past while enjoying their favourite food and drink."
The cinema club starts on Sunday, February 22, showing The Matrix Revolutions, followed by Love Actually the week after.
