I have written to West Sussex County Council and CityClean to complain about the amount of rubbish on the A27 verges between Falmer and Shoreham Airport.
It appears to be rubbish blown from badly-sheeted bulk waste lorries, rather than the odd drink can or cigarette end from a car window.
Neither organisation has had the courtesy to reply.
Brighton and Hove is marketed as The City by The Sea but this is hardly a good advertisement when the first thing a prospective visitor sees is a load of rubbish blowing along our highways.
Does the council have any plans to clear this or will it wait and strim it into confetti like last year?
Perhaps it should monitor contractors to ensure it gets the quality service we are all paying for from the bulk waste contractors.
