Haywards Heath are back on course for National Three safety after a stunning display against North Walsham.
Heath beat the Norfolk side, third before play, 36-11 on a memorable afternoon at Whitemans Green.
Henry Goodburn and Damien Lyall scored two tries apiece, man-of-the-match Huw Griffin added one and John Graham also got over.
The result means that, if skipper Alex Meredith has got his sums right, two more wins from six games will see Heath safe.
Meredith said: "We are chuffed to bits.
"It was our best performance of the season and it all came from the preparation."
Worthing let slip a 20-8 half-time lead to lose 22-20 at Thanet Wanderers in London One. The decisive try came from a quickly taken tap deep in home territory.
John Firkin missed a late penalty but Worthing should have been well clear by then.
Coach Ian Davies said: "There was a 50-point win there if we had taken our chances."
Instead, tries from Stuart McLaughlan (2) and Ben Dudley, plus Roly Killen's conversion and penalty, were not enough.
Hastings and Bexhill beat Sussex One leaders Hove 21-13 in a cracker. Tom Brampton, and Neil Redman scored tries to haul them back from 13-6 down.
Sussex under-20s are one win from reaching the knockout stages of the county championships after an impressive display at Esher yesterday.
They beat hosts Surrey 36-0 with tries from Sam Humphrey-Baker, Mike Malherbe, Gareth Richards, Tom Connors, David Sweeney and Brendan Creen. Jack Smallman added three conversions.
The group will be decided when Middlesex visit Haywards Heath on February 29.
