British Airways' latest bid to cut costs has resulted in the loss of 350 jobs at a Glasgow call centre.
The centre will close in November. Another in London, with a staff of 50, will close in March 2005.
The firm said the move was in response to the increased number of online bookings.
Telephone calls to the airline's five UK call centres have fallen by 34 per cent in the past two years, from 13 million to 8.5 million a year.
BA, which employs 4,000 people at Gatwick, said 400 jobs would be created at call centres in Manchester, Newcastle and Belfast.
In January the airline announced separate plans to cut costs by £300 million, a move some unions believe will lead to 4,000 job cuts.
