Sussex cricket captain Chris Adams was guest of honour at a drinks reception hosted by the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
The event was held to recognise Sussex County Cricket Club's county championship victory last year, the first in its 164-year history.
NatWest, part of the RBS group, is a sponsor of the club. The reception was held at RBS's office in Preston Road, Brighton.
Simon Crundwell, director of commercial banking, said: "After the tremendous success of Sussex County Cricket Club in 2003, I thought it was a great opportunity to host an evening for the team and demonstrate our support in this way by celebrating their success."
