Horsham have failed with a bid to sign striker Gavin Geddes.
The former Albion forward discussed terms with the Hornets after being released by Worthing but Geddes has decided to take a break from the game.
Horsham boss John Maggs did sign midfielder Luke Gedling on a one-year contract before the 2-2 draw at Tooting and Mitcham.
Ryan Rummery gave Hornets the lead on 14 minutes, but Tooting hit back with goals in each half by Eban Allen and Daniel Nwanze.
Lee Carney earned Horsham a point six minutes from time.
