A fund-raising tribute concert is being organised in memory of nine-year-old hit-and-run victim Callum "CJ" Oakford.
Carol Carver, a friend of the bereaved family, hopes to raise up to £6,000 from the event.
CJ, from Worthing, was run over and left to die in the road by failed asylum seeker Kamel Kadri, 38.
Kadri's Renault 5 collided with CJ as he crossed the A259 dual carriageway at Ferring, near Worthing on New Year's Day.
He was later sentenced to six months in jail for minor motoring offences, which sparked national uproar and a call for a change in the law.
The concert at the Assembly Hall in Worthing on May 27 will raise money for the Meningitis Trust and the Crash Victim Support organisation.
CJ's family has launched a campaign calling for a change in motoring laws which will mean drivers convicted of hit-and-run offences will be more severely punished.
Thousands of people from all over the South have signed a petition which will be delivered to Downing Street.
Tickets for the concert are priced at £6 and £8 and are available from the Worthing Theatres' box office on 01903 206206.
