A woman has been jailed for two years after she threatened to jump off a notorious suicide spot and take a police officer with her.
Paige Tapp made more than 60 calls to police threatening to jump off Beachy Head.
She was repeatedly found sitting on the edge of the cliff after her children were taken from her.
During one of the incidents she was talked away from the 500ft drop by Eastbourne PC Sasha Coote.
Tapp, 23, later blamed PC Coote for stopping her from jumping and told colleagues called to later incidents she wanted to take the officer over the edge with her.
She was arrested in August after making repeated threats to kill PC Coote and a social worker.
Tapp, of Salehurst Road, Eastbourne, appeared at Hove Crown Court for sentencing yesterday after admitting three charges of making threats to kill.
Warwick Tatford, prosecuting, said Tapp had a previous conviction for making repeated mobile phone calls to police from Beachy Head.
He said she had put officers' lives at risk by running along the cliff edge as darkness fell.
Rob Hall, defending, said attempts to find Tapp a place at a hospital where she could be helped had been unsuccessful.
She had already spent seven months on remand at Holloway prison since her arrest.
He added: "She has felt the bang of the prison door and the most that can be gained for her by being in custody has already been gained."
At an earlier hearing in December, the court was told Tapp had suffered from severe post-traumatic stress disorder and depression since her children were taken away.
Richard Keogh, prosecuting at that hearing, said: "After her arrests she was asked why she disliked PC Coote. She said it was because she had stopped her killing herself."
Mr Hall said: "Her calls from Beachy Head were cries for help from someone who had nobody else in her life. The trigger was the loss of her two daughters."
Yesterday Judge Anthony Niblett, sentencing her to a total of two years on all three charges, said: "These offences are so serious only a custodial sentence can be justified."
Tapp broke down in tears as sentence was passed.
