Worthing are hoping to sign a new striker in time for tonight's trip to relegation-threatened Egham Town.
The Rebels are desperate to strengthen their squad as they begin a gruelling schedule of four away games in eight days.
Assistant manager Danny Bloor said: "There are a few things that still need to be sorted out, but it could possibly happen before the Egham game."
Defender Clay Lamont returns to the squad after illness and striker Ben Carrington could be involved for the first time in eight weeks after a knee injury.
